Netherlands to increase fines for illegal online gambling

Dutch gambling regulatory body Kansspelautoriteit (KSA) has announced that it is to introduce larger fines for illegal online gaming in the country. Current gambling laws stipulate a maximum penalty of €150,000 ($161,400) for unlicensed online operators that target Dutch players. However, under new regulations outlined by the KSA, brands that breach gaming laws in the Netherlands could now face a fine of up to €820,000, depending on the offence.
