32Red has become the latest company to announce that it will cease operations in Australia after the country’s Senate approved a series of amendments to national online gambling laws.

According to various reports, TTRpartners, the affiliate program that promotes 32Red and its associated brands, has informed affiliates it will no longer accept players in Australia.

No new registrations from consumers in the country will be accepted as of today (Monday), while affiliates have been instructed to stop promoting the brands.

Last month, the Senate approved the Interactive Gambling Amendment Bill 2016, which includes legislation that bans all internet gaming activities not specifically authorised within the new national codes, including online poker.

888poker and Vera&John are amongst the operators to have already announced their exit from the country in response to the new legislation, while PokerStars previously said it would withdraw if the amendments were approved.
