GSA introduces ‘Third-Party Interface’ standard
The Gaming Standards Association (GSA) has created a certification that applies to third-party content
The Gaming Standards Association (GSA) has created a certification that applies to third-party content.
The Third-Party Interface (TPI) Standard will aim to streamline remote gaming servers to online gaming platform interfaces, as well as “break down barriers” to entry for more game content suppliers.
The standard describes an interface between online gaming platforms, remote game servers, and progressive jackpot controllers for launching games, recording monetary transactions, posting progressive contributions, awarding progressive jackpots, reconciling interrupted games and various other services.
The specification, available to both GSA members and non-members, will fully support online gaming operations active in multiple jurisdictions.
GSA president Peter DeRaedt said: “This is a major step forward for the gaming industry generally and for the online gaming sector specifically.
“Further fulfilling GSA’s 20-year mission of enabling interoperability, innovation, and unleashing creativity, our TPI Standard streamlines the very essence of the online gaming platform, and kicks the door open for more game content supplier.”
