Kaspi will join Luckbox after a spell as CFO at ParaZero, a developer of drone safety solutions.

Prior to this, he spent more than two years as finance director for ecommerce solutions provider Global-e, as well as six years in his management role at 888.

“A few years ago, I had the chance to provide CFO services to a start-up within the esports domain and I was given a shot to learn about the great potential of this industry,” Kaspi said.

“When the opportunity came, I thought that Luckbox has the potential to become a fantastic growth story in the future and its background, coupled with the public listing, were very appealing.”

Luckbox chief executive Quentin Martin added: “I am delighted to formally welcome Ran to the team.

"His talent and experience are hugely relevant to our story and he will play a major role as we look to build on our phenomenal success in 2020 and our new life as a public company.”

The appointment comes after Real Luck Group, Luckbox’s parent company, last month debuted on Toronto’s TSX Venture Exchange, following approval earlier in 2020.

Luckbox in October also hired Lachlan Thomson from its rival Unikrn to help the business scale up its marketing efforts.
